of October 2020, NSDO hired one STE in the means to implement the activity of promotion of the construction of energy-efficient Tandoors in Kunduz province. The STE received a short-term contract and short after explored the internet to collect information on energy-efficient baking Tandoors and identified proven energy-efficient Tandoors model which is possible to be replicated by the local bakers. The main idea behind this activity was on to introduce a new model for baking cost efficient and how to reduce the energy consumption in traditional Tandoors ovens. NSDO designed a two days training and invited a total number of 15 target actors while 9 target actors were women who were leading the traditional Tandoors in their respective villages of Kunduz province.
