NSDO identified the progressive wheat farmers from Kunduz center, Ali Abad and Imam Sahib Districts of Kunduz through the seed companies and cooperatives. NSDO signed a memorandum of understanding with a seed company based in Kunduz to provide the packages for the wheat farmers. NSDO distributed for each person the package containing; 50 Kg Urea, 25 Kg DAP and 25 Kg Seeds and 50 wheat farmers supported by NSDO in terms of distribution of new released improved local seed varieties through the contracted seed company in Kunduz province.
Furthermore, NSDO hired one national STE for developing marketing plan for seed companies for local improved seed varieties and as well evaluated the market demand of the local improved seed varieties.
